We have a list of adventurous spots for the real nature tamers, who would like to go for trekking on hilly areas ranging from 300 feet till 4000 feet. These will be Optional tours (advance booking). The team will be Departing from the Resort at 9 AM and the lunch will be provided at the peak of the hill, Back to the Resort at 4PM.

Ranipuram

Located about 73 km north east of Oyster Opera, Ranipuram lies 750 m (2,461 ft) above sea level, adjacent to Bhagamandala forest range. There are two trekking trails available to reach it. The ambiance of the forest trail is remarkable and once you reach the "Mani" (grass covered hilltop) the view is Breath taking.
Butterflies are in abundance and birds of the evergreen biotope like the black eagle, crested serpent eagle and little spider hunter will be usually sighted. Elephants pay visits in summer and leopards have been sighted recently.

Kottancheri Hills

Kottancheri Hills, an area of rain forest situated about 70 km north- east from Oyster Opera. It is a part of the Western Ghats in Kasargod district of Kerala, south India. Situated at an altitude of 4000 ft above the sea level, Kottancheri shows great resemblance to the scenic beauty of the famous hill station of Kodaikanal. It includes a picnic centre and is ideal for trekking. Wild elephants, wild dogs, deer, wild pigs, rare birds, butterflies are seen here.

CAMPING

TEJASWINI RIVER SIDE CAMP

This is a very beautiful river which is connected with our backwaters. The team will be leaving the resort at 2pm [after lunch] by boat and reaching tejaswini River at 6pm.On its way don’t miss sighting coconut lagoons, tiny islands, paddy field, hills, plantations, narrow canals, etc.. The team will be camping at a tiny island [About 200 square meter]. Dinner on the Venue and next day morning breakfast will be served at the camp. The return journey will be by boat or by car as decided by the guest. The team will be reaching back at the resort by 1pm.

SANDWICH BEACH CAMP

This is a very pretty and unexploited beach.14km away from the resort. The width of this island is only 40m, ocean on one side and the backwaters on the other. Enroot the beach, there are mangrove and Monkey Islands and many fishing activities. The team will be leaving at 2pm, by boat and camping at the sandwich beach for the night. The food will be served at the camp place and will be returning next day morning at 10am to the resort.
